he Unit Coordinator/PAC coordinates the activities of the nursing staff, the patients, the physicians, other hospital departments, and visitors within the Parent Child Division. He/she performs multiple tasks necessary to register patients, performs general receptionist and clerical duties in order to facilitate efficient functioning of the nursing unit, and provides excellent customer service.
High School Diploma/GED preferred, Associate's Degree in Business preferred. Equivalent of three (3) years' experience in business operations or office management. Medical terminology preferred and basic computer knowledge is preferred. Ability to communicate effectively and document information accurately. Ability to deal efficiently and effectively with a wide variety of individuals. Demonstrated competency in word processing and spreadsheet software. Technical knowledge base of PCs and telecommunications preferred. Technical knowledge of electronic medical record systems preferred.
