Manufacturing Wafer Fab Operator

As an operator, youwould be responsible for taking batches of silicon wafers (called wafer lots)and running them through the various stages of processing required to convertthe raw silicon wafers to carriers for completed integrated circuits. The finishedproducts are found in popular high tech devices, like our smartphones andtablets!

Our operators work in acleanroom, laboratory-like, highly controlled environment. In order to maintainthe air quality required for our products, Operators wear lightweight hoods,smocks, boots, and safety glasses. Also, wearing perfume, cologne, hairspray,makeup of any kind, contact lenses, dresses, and open toe/high heel shoes isprohibited.

Operators work 12 hour shifts (6:00-6:00) on a rotating 3day on/3 day off schedule. This position pays $13/hr. Night shift will receive a 15% differential.

Requirements:

* Minimum age of 18

* Basic math skills

* Basic computer skills

* Capable of standing for at least 75% of the time during any particular shift.

* Capable of working with and around chemicals (safety training is provided).

* Able to work weekends as well as weekdays.

* Have strong interpersonal skills and be capable of working effectively in ateam atmosphere.

* Good communications skills (both verbal and written) are necessary.

* Capable of cross training (learning more than one job or operation) and multitasking.

* Organization skills and the ability to prioritize one's work.

Education:

* High School diploma or equivalent
