POSITION SUMMARY:

Performs cardiac ultrasounds to include 2D M-Mode and Spectral Doppler evaluation of cardiac valves and structures, special studies to include stress echocardiograms, trans-esophogeal echocardiograms and bubble studies utilizing established policies and procedures and according to ARDMS and American College of Cardiology standards. Services are provided based on the ages of the population served; Newborn through geriatric - 65 years or older and in collaboration with the multidisciplinary care team. Maintains examination data, equipment and supplies utilized in the provision of services. Demonstrates the knowledge and skill necessary to identify and meet the individualized needs of patients and customers

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

Minimum Education:

* Completion of an accredited Radiology or Ultrasound Technology program

Minimum Experience:

* One year recent experience as an Ultrasound Tech or Cardiac Sonographer preferred

* Sufficient computer skills as are required to complete an online application and the pre-employment/annual Net Learning requirements

* In compliance with patient safety standards, must be able to effectively communicate in English; Bilingual abilities preferred

Minimum Certifications:

* Current RDMS, RDCS or RCVThighly preferred

* Current CPR/BLS certification by the American Heart Association (BLS for the Healthcare Provider) or ability to obtain prior to start date
