Job Title: Recruiter

Purpose of the Position:

Manages and oversees the process of recruiting talent and determining fit of candidate for the purpose of bringing new employees into the organization to meet production and management needs.

Essential job functions:

The recruiter will assist in the coordination and administration of hiring skilled craftsmen, including outreach programs, job postings, screening resumes/job applications, and performing interviews, serving as the primary point-of-contact for candidates and supervisors throughout the recruiting process. Analyzes craft and technical personnel needs for current job openings through discussions with operations management, department and supervisors. Based on forecasted projections and immediate manpower needs.

* Analyzes information provided on prospective employee applications, conducts personal interviews, and determines suitability for employment.

* Employs proper interviewing and hiring processes to ensure adherence to all equal employment opportunity (EEO) legislation, the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), and other government compliance requirements.

* Maintains necessary files covering applications, interviews, and hiring procedures.

* Represents the company at conferences, associations, job fairs, and other networking events to build relationships, promote the company, and develop an understanding of the regional employment market.

* Monitors and remains current with industry trends and best practices in all aspects of craft recruiting and makes recommendations for new or improved practices.

* End to end accident investigations including reporting claim to carrier and updating OSHA 300 Log

Knowledge, skills and abilities:

* The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of experience assisting with or recruiting professionals and skilled applicants in the manufacturing industry with two years of experience using applicant tracking system or comparable database experience

* Must be able to work independently with a high degree of customer service

* Ability to work with a diverse workforce

* Excellent time management and organizational skills

* Proficiency in MS Excel, Word, and Outlook

Valued But Not Required Qualifications

* Previous high volume recruiting experience

* Advanced technical knowledge of craft positions in Construction/midstream/downstream environments.

* Working knowledge of Applicant Tracking System is preferred

Physical Demands:

Hours: 8-10 per day Week: 40+ Hours Lunch: 1 hour

(Some overtime may be required with prior approval by management.)

Sitting: 70% Standing & Walking: 30%

* Indoors/Office and Plant Floor as necessary
