GLA in South Boston, VA is looking to add a Master Data Entry Clerk to our team. This position is responsible for maintaining master data in the entity, as well as maintaining the communication and alignment with Group Master Data. Furthermore, the MDEC is responsible for aligning with the Business Analyst in relation to new functionality in the system.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Enter and maintain product information and other related information (KITS, Master BOM’s) in the system and correlate information to various departments
  • Locate and correct data entry errors or report to manager in some cases
  • Compile, sort and verify the accuracy of data before it is entered
  • Assist in new product introduction and release activities related to Master Data
  • Maintains data entry requirements by following data program techniques and procedures.
  • Verifies entered Item data by reviewing, correcting, deleting, or reentering data.
  • Maintains operations by following policies and procedures and reporting needed changes.
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed
  • Update sales materials annually – add Item details for new introductions, check existing items and remove discontinued items.
  • Maintain a safe working environment
  • Promote and maintain positive employee relations and activities
  • Other duties as assigned

Skills / Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • Microsoft Office experience, Intermediate Excel experience
  • Microsoft Dynamics Business Central experience preferred
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Excellent time management and communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Ability to multitask and meet deadlines
  • Strong interpersonal communication and relationship-building skills
  • Ability to manage time and effectively prioritize numerous projects at one time
