Software Engineer - ACAL Infrastructure
Addepar
 SoHo, NY

Addepar is building a single platform unifying hundreds of portfolio and market data systems and leveraging that platform to create robust, powerful financial applications.

The technical effort involved is massive. Addepar engineering builds portfolio data ingestion systems that process tens of millions of transactions across millions of accounts every day, and pricing and reference data systems that provide coverage for over a trillion dollars in assets. We have built our own distributed serving and financial calculation framework that allows clients to run complex analysis of massive data sets in real time. We provide robust APIs and powerful, versatile user interfaces to empower wealth managers to ask nuanced questions about their clients' holdings.

The group you’ll be joining includes senior engineers and leads who have worked at companies like Facebook, Google, LinkedIn, DE Shaw, Two Sigma, and other top software firms and quantitative hedge funds. If you've designed complex scalable systems, built powerful and intuitive user interfaces, or worked with great teams on hard problems in financial data, come join us.

Team Description

Addepar has over a decade of deep experience in data aggregation for financial services. The Addepar Content Aggregation Layer (ACAL) project aims to create a unified platform for processing investment portfolio data at breadth and scale. As an early member of the ACAL team you will take part in every phase, from problem formation to delivery of the next generation data foundation Addepar's products will be built upon. Areas you will be exposed to range from distributed system design to capturing business problems in elegant, lasting data models.

The systems Addepar developers are 100% cloud deployed. We are working with sensitive datasets and we serve some of the largest enterprises in wealth management in the world. Repeatable infrastructure management, deployment and operations around various middleware services and databases Addepar uses in ACAL are critical to ensuring what we build is compliant, secure and reliable. As an Infrastructure Engineer on the ACAL project you will be implementing the topology of the systems needed to power the data platform on the cloud providers Addepar uses. This role will engage highly with the ACAL development team as well as Addepar's team of SRE and Information Security experts.
