* The Rehabilitation Technician assists clinicians in patient treatments including exercise and modalities set up and application. Assists in maintaining clean patient environment in compliance with infection control policy. Assists with front desk duties as needed. Maintains equipment and logs to ensure compliance. Orders supplies and maintains supply closet. Major Duties: Meets organizational expectations as defined by the Employee Standards of Performance, hospital and department policies and procedures, and the hospital's strategic goals. Verbalizes a clear understanding of continuous quality improvement and customer satisfaction measures and actively participates in improvement initiatives. Assist patient with exercises to ensure that they are done safely and properly under direct supervision of therapists. Communicates patients' status clearly and effectively to therapist as needed. Assists therapists with application of modalities. Assures there is a supply of clean linen available at all times. Ensures compliance with infection control policy by cleaning all mats and equipment after each patient. Orders supplies as needed and obtains supplies from hospital as needed. Assist with front desk clerical duties as needed. Attends and participates in department staff meetings. Monitor and maintain proper temperatures on hydrocollator, cold pack freezer and refrigerators daily. Performs weekly and monthly cleaning tasks to maintain compliance with infection control policy. Education/Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: Preferred: Understanding of role of outpatient therapy and services provided in outpatient setting as well as skills specific to working with this patient population. One year experience as a rehabilitation technician in an outpatient setting. Required: High school diploma, GED equivalent. Positive attitude, excellent customer service skills and ability to learn new skills quickly. Current American Heart Association CPR (BLS) for Healthcare Provider. Licensure/Certification: None
