Part Time Assembler (682-720)

POSITION SUMMARY

Performs secondary processes and with fasteners and related c-parts including assembly, kitting and packaging to meet customer specifications.

This position is 15-20 hours per week with flexibility to accommodate various schedules between the hours of 9:00am-4:00pm Monday-Friday.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

* Checks Bill of Material (BOM) to determine assembly and any specific requirements for the kit being built.

* Checks stock bins for adequate supplies of sub-assemblies, parts, and fasteners for the particular build. Checks for designated packaging. Contacts material handler if shortages exists or incorrect parts are in bins.

* Assembles components while verifying that components are correct to the description called for on the BOM.

* Packs finished product into designated packaging along with any required instruction sheet into each carton of the finished product.

* Labels and stages the finished product to be received into the system.

* Resolves assembly and packing problems with direction from supervisor.

* Maintains clean and safe working environment in line with company policies.

* Wears all protective equipment as required.

* Continuously improve productivity and efficiency of processes throughout the operational organization.

* Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS & ABILITIES

* High School Diploma, GED or equivalent experience.

* Basic knowledge of Microsoft products including Word, Excel and Outlook.

* Ability to read, write and speak effectively to read and describe manuals, orders, processes and procedures.

* Ability to count, add, subtract, multiply and apply basic mathematical and reasoning skills.

* Ability to lift 20-30 pounds semi-regularly and up to 45 pounds on occasionwith the dexterity to handle small pieces while assembling.

* Ability to stand for an extended period of time while performing these tasks.

* Ability to pay attention to details and follow verbal and written instructions
