The Materials Manager is responsible for

  • Ensuring patient issue stock levels are maintained and that other system requests are completed in a timely manner
  • Following established hospital department policies and procedures when performing any of the job responsibilities
  • Supervising Materials staff, if applicable, and the Communications Clerks


The Materials Manager must:

  • Be a high school graduate who has taken courses in business administration; a degree in Business Administration is preferred
  • Have two years of experience in some phase of purchasing is required; one to two months on-the-job training is required
