This position is responsible for managing and optimizing the cost and performance of Ecumen’s portfolio of physical facility assets. Collaborates with key stakeholders to define and translate Ecumen’s brand image into physical reality. Strives to optimize the deployment of financial resources (capital and expense) for Ecumen. Additionally, works to develop, implement and manage facilities-related strategies and initiatives across the entire portfolio of physical assets.
Essential job responsibilities include:
Collaborates with operational leadership (Regional Directors, Site Leaders, Environmental Services Directors) to establish and achieve annual capital and expense plans to meet the facility-related needs.
Defines and implements facility-related programs and initiatives that create consistency across portfolio while striving to maintain facility specific autonomy where required.
Oversees key components of the facilities-related capital planning program to ensure Ecumen’s financial resources are deployed in the right place at the right time for assigned assets. Develops processes and systems that optimize repair/replace decisions at the site level.
Develops and manages long range capital and expense forecasts for assigned assets within the portfolio.
Creates an environment that encourages the sharing of best practices and continuous learning.
Develops and implements maintenance standards for assigned asset categories.
Collaborates with Business Development leadership to create and implement design standards for new construction in ways that optimize the lifecycle cost and performance of assigned assets.
Leverages technology to align workflow, accounting and organizational structure to enable data driven analytics and reporting to create strategies and initiatives that drive value for assigned physical assets.
Supports the development and management of processes and systems to ensure facility compliance with industry health care regulations and requirements.
Supports the management of 3rd party maintenance and repair vendors.
Optimizes the use of electricity, natural gas and water. Supports programs and initiatives to reduce consumption without detracting from the desired tenant experience.
Contributes to the development and management of organizational policies, procedures and plans that guide each site through disruptions caused by utility, mechanical, chemical or other operational failures.
- Assists in administering safety, industrial hygiene, ergonomic and environmental program direction, ensuring compliance with applicable laws and to reduce costs related to accidents and production. Assures programs for compliance to OSHA regulations.
Corporate Facilities Director
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Facilities Management, Construction, Business, Healthcare or related field
- 5+ years of progressive experience with multi-site facility portfolios; with a focus on one or more of the following: design/engineering, construction, controls, asset management, facilities management, energy management
- Current valid driver’s license and proof of vehicle insurance
- Experience in developing and leading organization-wide improvement initiatives and cost reduction programs that enhance product/service quality and customer satisfaction
- Experience working with organizations with 20+ locations
