Join Ecolab's sales team as a Technical Account Manager for the Northwest market. This outside sales opportunity is within our industry leading Institutional division, which offers comprehensive chemical products and solutions to meet the needs of customers across the foodservice, hospitality, and facility care industries. After completing an initial training program, you will be responsible for driving sales by developing strategic sales plans in partnership with local and national distributors. You will serve as the face of Ecolab, providing recommendations on advanced cleaning processes and programs that drive a positive customer experience and create cleaner, safer, and healthier environments.

The Technical Account Manager for Facility Care will be responsible for directly managing facility care business and the relationships within the assigned distributor(s) and targeting additional growth opportunity in the assigned regional area. A successful candidate will have a proven track record of exceeding sales targets and provide a consultative approach when quickly building relationships with distributors and team members.

What You Will Do:

* Sell new business and grow existing business on an annual basis while meeting or exceeding established sales targets

* Educate distributors and promote the features and benefits of our facility care products

* Minimize competitive growth and escalate the growth rate of personal new account sales

* Assist in a wide partnership with fellow associates to maximize Ecolab's growth efforts in key partner distributors and facilitate cross-divisional sales opportunities

* Assist field sales with Facility Care customers in jeopardy

* Cultivate relationships with and between all levels of distributor and Ecolab associates within the geographical area of coverage by the distributors

* Develop and execute collaborative business and marketing plans with assigned distributors

* Introduce new products and enhance distributor sales and service capabilities through presentations, training, demonstrations and using other Ecolab resources

* Educate Distribution Sales Representatives on Ecolab products through effective sales techniques

Position Details:

* Candidate must reside within 2 hours of Seattle

* This territory includes but is not limited to Seattle, WA, Portland, OR, and Anchorage, AK

* Some overnight travel may be required

Minimum Qualifications:

* 4-6 years of experience in sales, distribution or facility care environment

* Successful track record in selling role

* Willing to travel overnight as required

* Ability to complete pre-employment assessments including a physical, lift and carry 50 pounds, color vision test and drug screen

* Must have a valid driver's license and acceptable Motor Vehicle Record

* No Immigration Sponsorship available

Preferred Qualifications:

* Bachelor's degree strongly preferred

* Proven negotiation, relationship management, communication and presentation skills

* A focus on meeting customer expectations and requirements to establish and maintain effective relationships

* Strong knowledge of business operations, practices, trends and information affecting customers to drive effective solutions

* Action oriented, problem solving approach to meeting deliverables and handling complex situations

* Strong time management skills with the ability to prioritize
