Role

Amazon Go is looking for a business analyst with strong technical skills, business acumen, project management skills, and a passion for operations excellence. This is a new role on a new analytics team providing back end support for Amazon Go.

In this role you will help define and build out a forecasting function within our team. You'll work directly with our software development teams and our ops and finance teams, and collaborate with researchers and other analysts across the business. You will be creative in building, maintaining, and improving forecasting models with limited historical data. You'll collaborate with a lot of groups to make sure you know how thing operate and look for ways to innovate, and thoughtfully create recommendations to get buy in from senior leaders. You will also collaborate with senior leadership to drive forecasting, capacity planning, and budgeting for the function and track progress against goals.

You are passionate and results driven. You are obsessed with the power of data to inform high impact decisions and to contribute to the development of high-performance teams and a bar-raising customer experience. You know and love working with business intelligence tools and can partner with customers to answer key business questions. You can take complex statistical models and explain them simply to leaders across operations, program, product and technology. You dive deep and are right a lot. You have the superior analytical ability and technical skills to come up with quick, innovative solutions.

Responsibilities

* Quickly build a thorough understanding of Amazon Go CX Quality Ops and related technology.

* Implement statistical methods to solve specific business problems.

* Improve upon existing methodologies by developing new data sources, testing model enhancements, and fine-tuning model parameters.

* Directly contribute to the design and development of automated forecasting systems

* Build user-facing reporting tools to provide insights and metrics which rack forecast performance and explain variance

* Collaborate with researchers, software developers, and business leaders to define product requirements, provide analytical support, and communicate feedback
