We're looking for strong Software Engineers who are passionate about working on highly scalable systems processing billions of events daily. You will build upon Spark and Java, as well as AWS services like EMR, SQS/SNS, SWF, Step Functions, Dynamo DB, and Redshift to create the next generation of our traffic ingestion and experimentation pipeline.
Amazon is investing heavily in building a world class advertising business and we are responsible for defining and delivering a collection of products and platforms for one of Amazon's fastest growing businesses. We routinely process massive datasets with latency requirements of milliseconds using variety of distributed technologies on clusters that push scalability limits. We are building the next generation of the facts (clicks and impressions) ingestion pipeline to address the ongoing scaling needs due to year over year business growth. We aim to process every possible signal indicating the impact of advertising which includes ad request/response, sourcing, auction, model evaluation. Our mandate is to have processed ad data available in near real-time for development and analysis of models and auction algorithms, counter factual analysis, A/B testing, and experimentations. These enhancements, along with the goal of five nines availability, makes this an exciting and dynamic project.
