Rapp Marine is seeking experienced Service Engineers/Service Technicians to perform and supervise service activities, including refurbishments, upgrades, preventative maintenance and corrective actions on Rapp Marine and equivalent equipment. Maintaining productive team and customer relationships as well as ensuring Best Practices are applied in all service related activities. This position is to be located in Seattle, WA and will report to the Service Manager.
Main tasks and responsibilities
The key responsibilities for this position include refurbishment, upgrades, and preventative maintenance and repairs to Rapp Marine equipment. You must have proven experience troubleshooting, installing, updating and uploading PLC based control systems and knowledge of hydraulics and deck machinery is essential.
You will be developing customer relationships and maintain contact with key decision makers of fishery companies, vessel owners/operators, and shipyards.
We expect from you
- The ideal candidate will have a degree or diploma in Engineering and have a minimum of 5 years' work experience in the marine and/or offshore industry, a valid driver's license and
- Passport. You must have good customer service skills including possessing a solid reputation for follow up and handling customer requests and complaints.
- You must be fluent in English and have excellent interpersonal and communication skills. You will have a valid driver's license, passport and be eligible to work in the United States.
- This position will require extensive travel.
