Perioperative Care Associate II

Swedish Medical Center is looking for a Perioperative Care Associate II to work in Surgery at Swedish First Hill in Seattle, WA.

This is a 1.0 FTE, day shift position.

The Main OR consists of 21 OR suites and covers complex cases from large GI procedures, to vascular, to gynecology, to urology, to transplants for kidney, liver and pancreas. These are all inpatient procedures, and can include patients receiving multiple procedures during one surgery.

The Perioperative Care Associate II must be able to perform all duties of the Perioperative Care Associate I. Assists the surgical staff with patient care including transportation, supplies, equipment, instruments and care of the equipment.

In this position you will:

* Assist the core facilitator with completion of case carts and preparation of positioning devices and equipment

* Assist the surgical team with preparation of the surgical suite

* Assist in the training of the Perioperative Care Associate I (PCA I)

* Assist with quality improvement processes

* Work under guidance of the PCA III, Surgical Technologist, Facilitator and RN

* Function as a collaborative and participative member of an interdisciplinary team

Required qualifications for this position include:

* High School diploma or equivalent

* One year experience performing duties of a Perioperative Care Associate I or equivalent experience

* Demonstrated knowledge of sterilization techniques

Preferred qualifications for this position include:

* CPR certification
