Corporate EHS Analyst

This role will be key contributor to the Corporate EHS function in Amazon.

The safety of all of our associates is very important to us at Amazon and we have an opportunity for a business Analyst to become part of our Global Corporate EHS team. Our Corporate office organisation is growing rapidly across globe and the Environment, Health, Safety and wellbeing of all our associates working in these spaces is vitally important. For this reason, we need a high performing analyst to support our Corp EHS function to drive data analysis processes and provide valuable analytical talent to our organization.

Reporting to the Corp EHS Director and interfacing with GREF global Operations, Finance and vendor teams, the Corp EHS Analyst will be a key member of the EHS team. The role demands strong analytical, mathematical capabilities and report configuration skills. The candidate will analyse various Corp EHS data, write report gathering code, clarify ambiguous data and prepare analysis reports. Overall objective to define optimal EHS data collation with intelligent analysis of reactive and pro-active performance metrics. The role will supporting year on year performance improvement by identifying risks areas where we have to intervene to ensure country or site compliance and prevent incidents and losses from occurring.

The GREF Corp EHS team is a building a lean, high performance safety management system and this role will play a key part in the development of analytics to support the wider ACS function as well as all our EHS team. The role will be highly visible.

This role of GREF EHS Analyst is based either Seattle or London offices and includes the following responsibilities:

Scope and deliverables:

* Support GREF and non-operational, corporate growth across the global Amazon network.

* Create clarity where there is ambiguity or uncertainty

* Carry out sensitivity analysis and create a decision model for optimal utilization of the existing data, to identify risk, manifest it, and prevent the occurrence of additional incidents.

* Contribute to the GREF EHS strategic planning process.

* Initiate and support the implementation of simple and customer friendly safety management system (SMS) improvements, both the business processes and creation of technical solutions.

* Collaborate with other GREF teams on standards around Safety Management Systems (SMS) reporting and optimization, in order to deploy the best processes across the GREF. This includes working closely with Corp EHS regional safety managers and site safety resources to deliver GREF supportive metrics and processes.

* Collaborate with ACS Business Continuity, Security and Finance teams to develop advanced safety management tools and our internal Corp safety toolkit processes.

* Identify and ensure the inclusion of the GREF organisational changes to these metrics and reports.

* Work across the GREF in a cross-functional environment, and maintain a strong communication process to ensure smooth and efficient flow of accurate information.

* Liaise with operational EHS team analysts to optimise data gathering and performance reporting tools and applications
