Affiliate Marketing Manager

The Trupanion ecommerce team is a high performance and functioning team in the forefront of the company to drive revenue, marketing technology, and conversion rate optimization initiatives. This is a highly visible role that reports to the Head of Conversions/VP of Ecommerce. You needs to be inventive, strategic, gritty, creative and the ability to get things done with a 100% on me accountable attitude. Additionally, you don't mind executing things big or small and go deep.

Through campaign management, recruitment, and analysis you will work to grow the affiliate channel while gaining efficiency within targeted critical metrics. Experience within an affiliate platform is a plus. Responsiveness, proactivity, and the ability to prioritize are ideal traits for this role.

Responsibilities:

* Identify, evaluate, recruit, and negotiate new affiliates.

* Drive our ranking on affiliate sites

* Launch new affiliates and be responsible for the affiliate onboarding process. Includes negotiation of payment terms, and implementation of: pixels, tracking variables, URL structure, and creatives.

* Responsible for leading insertion orders, invoices, and budget of affiliates

* Continual evaluation of cost structures (CPM, CPC, CPA, Rev Share, Flat, etc.). Includes reporting, projection, and analysis of metrics and LTV impacts.

* Grow affiliate channel through: ad copy/banner testing, landing page testing, custom flows, new/unique opportunities and placements, and management of creative library

* Ongoing evaluation and documentation of affiliate technologies and tools

* Build and manage relationships with affiliates

* Collaborate with internal teams across multiple departments to lead initiatives from ideation to completion. Includes working cross functionally to develop/implement product and marketing strategies.

* Maintain brand quality assurance by monitoring affiliate practices and compliance

* Ability to execute tactically and work within a team, cross-functional, and individual environment

* Strong negotiation and business development skills, and experience handling vendors and partners

Desired Skills and Experience:

* Strong knowledge of affiliate best practices such as: creative and content development and management, testing methodologies, polices and compliance, sales and commission tracking

* Proven experience using data sets to analyze and optimize campaign performance

* Proven experience evaluating, implementing and modifying URL structure, pixels, tracking variables, or similar

* Experience with direct management of affiliate contacts to lead, maintain, and grow relationships

* Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-growing environment and work collaboratively

Education and Requirements:

* 3 - 5 + years of affiliate marketing experience

* BA/BS in Business, Marketing, or related area of study or equivalent
