JOB PURPOSE AND REPORTING STRUCTURE

Responsible for performing highly diversified duties to install, troubleshoot, repair and maintain industrial machinery, equipment, utilities and physical structures.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIESObserve all EH&S policies and values and guide fellow employees in safe work practices.Perform a variety of basic pipefitting, welding, plumbing.Perform basic electrical functions (including: run conduit, 3-phase motor hook, electrical connections)Employ other mechanical craft skills in connection with repair or maintenance of equipment.Read and interpret basic blue prints, sketches, instruction manuals and work orders.Perform basic functions within the waste / water treatment facilityTroubleshoot and repair hydraulic systemsFabricate steel and sheet metal projectsPerform other duties under the guidance of a Mechanic "A" in order to increase knowledge of machinery which is unique to the plant.Maintain checklists and other appropriate paperworkRequisition materials as needed and in accordance with appropriate purchasing guidelinesMaintain work area in neat and orderly condition; follow proper 5S procedures where necessary; properly account for tools and equipment usedEDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCEHigh School Diploma or equivalentMinimum of 4 years applicable work experience or an equivalent combination of industrial maintenance experience and education
