Student Video Producer - Campus Ledger (190015)

Ultimately responsible for content and production of video packages and news coverage. Responsible for story or coverage content. Completes stories and meets deadlines according to Executive Producer assignments. Attends regular staff meetings to report progress. Shows final video productions prior to airing or uploading onto the WEB. Participates in the regular production of Cavalier Sports Report. Other duties as may be assigned.

Required Skills

High-school graduate or equivalent required.

* Must be enrolled in six (6) credit hours at JCCC each semester with a cumulative 2.0 GPA.

* Must have reliable transportation for off-campus videography assignments.

Completion of a minimum of nine (9) hours of college-level English or journalism courses preferred.

* Working knowledge of Adobe Premier Pro CC editing software preferred

* Successfully completed JOUR 227 or similar college-level production course (transcript required if not taken at JCCC).

* Must have a valid driver's license and acceptable driving record. *Must be able to edit quickly and pay attention to details.

Required Experience

* Previous experience in video production also preferred.
