Position Summary/Career Interest

The Data Analyst will use computers and computer systems (including hardware and software) to program, write software, set up functions, enter data, and process information. Collect and analyze data and develop decision support software. Work with team leaders to ensure successful implementation of chosen problem solutions.

Responsibilities

Other duties may be assigned as required.3) Collaborate with team leaders in the organization to ensure successful implementation of chosen problem solutions.4) Analyze information obtained from management to conceptualize and define operational problems.5) Perform validation and testing of models to ensure adequacy and reformulate models as necessary.6) Define data requirements and gather and validate information, applying judgment and statistical tests.7) Work with team leaders to provide management reports defining and evaluating problems and recommending solutions.8) Meet with end-user or end-user management to understand and document the reporting needs.9) Use the appropriate reporting tool to create the appropriate report syntax and related queries to access the data.10) Modify/test/re-run the report as needed to confirm report accuracy.11) Review report results with end-user management to confirm request is satisfied.12) If a recurring report, schedule the report in the appropriate tool for the user to retrieve the report.13) Verify that the final report satisfies the original request.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Business or related field. Degree can be substituted for experience on a year for year basis. Certification and/or experience in analytical or scientific software, environment software, database reporting software, ie., Oracle, SQL, SRS, SAS, Crystal Reports, Microsoft Access and Microsoft Excel. One or more years of experience working in a healthcare environment. Experience developing applications and programs. Demonstrated experience in complex problem solving and operational analysis.
