Job Description:

This position functions in Central office and in the community managing work priorities, processes, and deadlines. Instructions are primarily verbal and general in nature. Manages the all Mental Health programs including CMHC programs and Nursing Facilities for Mental Health.

Salary: ranges from the upper $40's to mid $50's based on education and experience

State Minimum Requirements:

* Two years of experience in providing direction necessary to implement the objectives of an agency, program or organizational unit. Education may be substituted for experience as determined relevant by the agency.

* Travel as needed and directed

Preferred:

* Bachelor's Degree in Business or Public Administration, Behavioral or Social Sciences, Finance, Political Science or any degree related to human services; OR any combination of experience and education equivalent to five years of experience related to human services.

* Knowledge of the State Mental Health System and experience in Mental Health

* Knowledge and/or training of evidence-based prevention methods and the Strategic Prevention Framework (SPF)

KANSAS TAX CLEARANCE CERTIFICATE REQUIRED: Each applicant applying for a State of Kansas job vacancy must obtain a valid Kansas Certificate of Tax Clearance by accessing the Kansas Department of Revenue's website at http://www.ksrevenue.org/taxclearance.html. A Tax Clearance is a comprehensive tax account review to determine and ensure that an individual's account is compliant with all primary Kansas Tax Laws. A Tax Clearance expires every 90 days.
