Dasan Zhone Solutions, Inc. (DZS) is seeking an ambitious, high-energy individual to be part of its high performance traffic coordination team and contribute to the success of a growing company. The ideal candidate must have strong motivation to take on challenges and a dynamic role to demonstrate strong interpersonal skills and expertise in relationship development.

Responsibilities:

* Coordination and scheduling of all International shipments with Dasan Zhone Solutions' and Customers' Freight Forwarders. This includes Triangle shipments.

* Prepares and processes of all documents required for international shipments.

* Interface with internal and external customers to ensure shipment documents and methods are done correctly.

* Ensure Compliance with Export Regulation. This includes creation and maintaining of corporate policy.

* Reviews carrier invoices to ensure accuracy.

* Ensures the lowest cost transportation by analyzing company needs, researching transportation methods, auditing carrier cost and performances.

* Advises Senior Traffic Coordinator on rate negotiations with Carriers.

* Participates in the design and establishment of new procedures, and make suggestions for improvement of existing processes of methods.

* Data entry of Domestic and International shipments.

* Filing of all shipments documents.

* Assist Senior Traffic Coordinator in the estimation of quarterly freight cost.

* Back up to the Senior Traffic Coordinator

* Troubleshoot, perform a root cause analysis, and develop corrective actions within Traffic / Logistics operations. Including making claims with Carriers for damaged shipments.

* Demonstrate a high standard of ethics and integrity

Qualifications:

* Self-starter with excellent organizational skills.

* Excellent analytical and problem solving skills, with ability to multi-task.

* Ability to apply knowledge in order to plan and accomplish a variety of complex work assignments and to identify, analyze, and resolve transportation issues or problems.

* Detail-oriented and results driven with strong communication skills.

* Intermediate Microsoft Word and Excel skills.

* Ability to build dynamic relationships with carriers, sales personnel, and internal organizations.

* Ability to work overtime on short notice including: nights, weekends, and holidays, when needed, especially at end of calendar quarter.

* Ability to successfully pass a criminal background check and drug screen.

* Ability to fluently read, write, and speak English.

Education and required experience

* Bachelor's Degree in Business or Equivalent, preferred.

* At least five (5) years of experience in international transportation.

* Knowledgeable and experienced in domestic and international freight.

* Extensive experience in coordination, scheduling, and creating required documents for international shipments.

* Experience working with Freight Forwarders, including negotiating lower shipping cost for individual shipments.

* Order Management experience.

* Comprehensive knowledge of U.S, Export Administration and Customs Regulations, export documentation, and record keeping.

* Must be able to be certified and registered to file SED/AES and any other government registrations required for import and export compliance.
