Our client is looking for a Revenue Operations Lead to be a key contributor to our growing revenue operation

function to ensure the ongoing success of the revenue team. The primary focus of this position is to ensure timely and accurate billing

and revenue recognition. The role will provide oversight to the offshore transaction team, and work

extensively with cross-functional teams in the organization, including but not limited to Sales Operations,

Client Development (Sales), FP&A, and Legal.

The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate a solid understanding of revenue accounting and

operation, as well as strong problem-solving skills to proactively remove operational obstacles and to

ensure consistency of ongoing revenue operations. In addition, the candidate will become a subject-matter

expert in operating the revenue accounting subledger; fine-tuning it to meet the needs of

IFRS15/ASC606. As such, this role requires strong analytical and communication skills, fast-learning

ability, and passion for process-improvement.

Essential Job Functions

 Perform operational accounting activities associated with revenue, and execute on efficient and

accurate accounting close and revenue reporting process in US and offshore

 Lead day-to-day activities, including but not limited to billing, collection, period- end close, etc.

 Review contracts and ensure proper revenue recognition treatment.

 Research and review applicable sales tax calculation for US, and equivalent tax compliance and

calculation in Canada and other countries.

 Prepare monthly balance sheet analysis and management reporting materials: quantitative and

qualitative fluctuation analyses

 Coach offshore transaction team through escalated issues; primary point of contact for new

revenue accounting subledger

 Review account reconciliations and analysis prepared by offshore team

 Prepare audit schedules, working papers and address auditors’ inquiries

 Continuously improve existing system and manual processes for revenue financial reporting; will

be expected to actively engage in systems improvement and automation projects

 Research and document accounting treatment for unusual transactions

 Assist with special ad hoc projects as needed

Skills and Requirements:

 3+ years of public and/or private accounting work experience. Big 4 preferred

 Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field of study

 CPA preferred

 Practical working knowledge of software and SaaS revenue recognition under IFRS 15 / ASC 606

 Experience with sales tax process preferred

 Proven ability as a fast learner

 Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio

 Experience with EAP software and Revenue subledger software preferred

 Excellent written and verbal communication skills

 Ability to research and apply relevant accounting literature to work

 Efficient and accurate in day-to-day responsibilities, but adaptable to changing priorities as they


 Experience performing documentation at a level of Auditing Standard No. 3.
