Do you want to help customers solve their most strategic challenges through cloud technologies?

As the Product Manager – Technical (PMT) within the Solutions & GTM Programs Group (SGP), you will manage the lifecycle of AWS Solutions or major technology features for a variety of industry, segment, and program domains. You own the product roadmap and feature priorities for the solutions you develop, which may include contributing to strategic planning narratives and goals, and engineering organization roadmaps. You define the problem(s) we are trying to solve, desired customer experience working back from customers and the Field inputs. You deliver the right product solutions independently, with limited guidance.

You are able to distill clear requirements from large and diverse sets of customers, partners, subject experts, engineering team builders, and Field inputs. You determine how to improve an existing solution, or integrate features for a more cohesive end-to-end customer experience. You influence technical roadmap priorities and solution strategy through data-driven contributions, ensuring domain experts and engineering teams are aligned to customer needs. Depending on the types of customers and the type of products you manage, you may define technical requirements (e.g., APIs, algorithms). You’ll develop product plans that have clear, measurable success criteria and define mechanisms and metrics (e.g., KPIs, funnels, conversion, awareness) that enable you to quickly explain your product’s/feature adoption, performance, and variance against goals. You define showstoppers related to product quality, make sure bugs are triaged, and ensure issues are resolved or mitigated in the right order.

Key job responsibilities

As a PM-T, you will:

  • Partner with your solutions stakeholders to prioritize candidate AWS Solutions
  • Partner with domain experts to write PRFAQs for AWS Solutions, and lead them through review, approval, and funding process
  • Engage with the relevant AWS service teams for solutions / AWS services interlock
  • Translate approved PRFAQs into engineering requirements and partner with the engineering team to build AWS Solutions
  • Launch and manage adoption and performance of launched AWS Solutions
  • Maintain features/enhancements roadmap for AWS Solutions working back from customers and Field
  • Own portfolio management of AWS Solutions you develop

When using our solutions and programs, customers achieve outcomes measurably faster, with lower effort and risk.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 5+ years of relevant work experience in technical product management/solution management roles for technology-enabled products/services
  • Proven ability to distill clear requirements from large and diverse sets of inputs, and work across stakeholders
  • Experience with IT technologies such as cloud computing, data lakes, analytics, or IoT, and/or AI/ML
  • Well-versed in software development practices and working with engineering teams
  • Business and financial acumen

Preffered Qualifications

  • Familiarity with multiple industry applications, architectures, and digital transformation frameworks.
  • MBA
  • Technical background with Computer Science/Engineering/Math
  • GTM and/or product marketing experience in addition to product management background
  • Interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal. Experience working with both technical and non-technical stakeholders across multiple teams. Demonstrated ability to work effectively across internal and external organizations
  • Leadership skills and demonstrated ability to lead through influence
  • Analytical and data-driven orientation. Demonstrate balanced strategy and planning, and execution skills

The pay range for this position in Colorado is $151,200 -$177,900 per year; however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. A sign-on bonus and restricted stock units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the position offered. This information is provided per the Colorado Equal Pay Act. Base pay information is based on market location.
