Customer Care Advocate
The Customer Care Advocate is responsible for answering incoming phone calls from providers and members that are seeking eligibility, benefits and the status of claims, including troubleshooting problems and resolving issues with billing errors with members and providers and claim issues. This position requires superior customer service skills and significant attention to detail and accuracy.
Responding to phone calls regarding benefit quotes, eligibility verification and claim inquiries from clients, providers and members.
Handling all calls in a professional manner.
Investigate and resolve problems for our customers as needed.
Work Enviroment: Will be working in a fast paced call center. There will be limited breaks throughout the day and each Customer Care Advocate will be taking a high volume of calls per shift (75-85).
-Must have prior experience working with health insurance.
-Must have previous medical terminology experience.
-Must be able to maintain excellent customer service skills while working in a fast paced environment.
-A minimum of six (6) months experience providing customer service in a fast paced medical environment.
-Must be able to multitask while on the phone and entering information into proprietary system.
-Experience using MS Word, Excel and Outlook.
-Proven ability to work independently and in a team environment.
