We are seeking a strong business intelligence engineer to join our Marketing Analytics organization within Workforce Staffing.

Workforce Staffing is responsible for hiring hourly associates into our global fulfillment operation. Each year we hire hundreds of thousands of associates across the globe. Workforce Intelligence, a subsidiary of Workforce Staffing, is responsible for the data acquisition, engineering, research and programmatic insights to help WFS and Amazon scale that staffing to meet customer demand at an improved cost. Workforce Staffing relies on marketing to raise awareness of Amazon's hourly jobs, pay and benefits across thousands of locations but has significant opportunity to optimize those activities. This is where you come in.

The Business Intelligence Engineer role will be responsible for creating the proper data modeling necessary to facilitate reporting and analytics, acquiring new data sources, and building out comprehensive data visualizations for key stakeholders. This role is truly a jack of all trades; it will be part process improvement, part analytics, part data modeling, and part strategic design. Key Responsibilities

- Build out comprehensive metrics to measure operational health, then demonstrate continuous improvement within these metrics

- Be the voice of your customers; communicate the needs of candidates, associates and staffing coordinators to your stakeholders via the data

- Turn over rocks to uncover and drive unanticipated outcomes

- Acquire various data sources to enable holistic analysis at a global level

- Build various data visualizations to tell the story and let the data speak for itself

- Mentor junior engineers to drive them to think big and deliver results

Basic Qualifications

· Bachelors degree in quantitative field (Computer Science, Mathematics, Machine Learning, AI, Statistics or equivalent)

· 3+ years of experience in Data Science, Research Science or similar field

· Demonstrated leadership in data warehousing concepts, including data modeling

· Strong knowledge of SQL, Linux, Python, R

· Demonstrated experience optimizing and scaling strategic initiatives through data and hands off the wheel model

Preffered Qualifications

· · Master’s in Computer Science, Information Systems or MBA

· Experience with Tableau, Microstrategy, Power BI, and/or other data visualization tools

· Familiarity with Amazon's cloud infrastructure including EC2, S3 and Redshift

· Experience in leading technical discussions and assisting teams in designing solutions

· Strong interpersonal skills

· Ability to work cross functionally

· Strong negotiation skills and develops strong relationships across teams

· Highly organized who also wants to have fun building new products and services across geographies
