Cardiology Nurse FT/40HRS
EDUCATION: Current New Mexico RN license or current compact State License.
CERTIFICATION/LICENSES: Current BLS and ACLS certifications issued by the American Heart Association required.
SKILLS: Must possess strong organizational skills, the ability to prioritize projects and to work in a fast paced, frequently distracting environment. Must possess problem solving skills utilizing the nursing process of data collection, analysis, decision making, implementation and evaluation. Must be able to provide complicated information in a clear and concise manner to those not familiar with the information being provided. Must be able to communicate in a clear and concise manner with health care team including providers and staff. Must be able to triage multiple phone calls per day. Ability to work with all adult age groups. Computer skills required. Bilingual in Spanish or local Native languages a plus.
EXPERIENCE: Two years nursing experience required. Cardiac experience or office nurse experience preferred.
NATURE OF SUPERVISION:
-Responsible to: Office Manager
-Bloodborne pathogen: C
Exposure to infectious diseases and x-rays.
On a regular basis: Sitting, fingering or manual dexterity as in the use of a computer, converse with the public and staff using the spoken and written word. On a frequent basis: Standing and walking.
On an occasional basis: Ability to lift or exert force up to a 10 lbs; reach or stretch; crouch or stoop; depth perception; loud noise levels; and respond to emergency situations that may require heavy lifting.
