Senior Tax Analyst

The Opportunity

Chegg is looking for a strong Tax Analyst to join its lean, but growing, team. This high visibility position will be responsible for a wide range of multi-state and federal income tax functions, include tax compliance, tax controversy, tax credits and incentives, tax provision, tax planning, and other special projects. This position reports to the Tax Manager.

The Responsibilities

  • Gather information for the federal consolidated Form 1120 and corresponding state income tax returns
  • Set up and maintain tax calendar
  • Assistance with the reports and analysis for the quarterly consolidated tax provision
  • General state and federal tax research as needed
  • Assistance with federal and state notices and audit responses
  • Preparation of quarterly estimated federal, state income, and franchise tax payments
  • Preparation of state income and franchise tax returns
  • Provide support for corporate tax projects: research and development credit computations and surveys 

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years of relevant tax experience in Big 4, and/or equivalent industry experience
  • BA/BS in accounting, finance, or business administration
  • CPA desired but not required
  • Strong accounting and tax knowledge with demonstrated experience in financial reporting and tax compliance
  • Superior Microsoft Excel skills and ERP reporting skills, Corptax experience a plus
