We are looking for an experienced Director, Program and Portfolio Management for establishing and leading a collection of digital initiatives. This is a newly created, highly visible role, responsible for leading cross-functional teams, proactive process improvements, capacity planning, roadmap planning and overseeing portfolio of digital marketing initiatives. Also, the role involves managing and mentoring Program managers, ensuring end-to-end project management, maintaining project schedules, driving towards milestone achievements, assessing impacts of changes, facilitating with prioritization and ensuring resource assignment in a timely manner.

The ideal candidate for this position will be seasoned in program management with strong leadership skills, communication skills, and expertise with digital and technology transformation. This person will have substantial, demonstrated experience in an agile and program model structure. This role requires a candidate who is strong at building relationships across functions to align strategies and drive execution. This person will be a strategic problem solver with an ability to prioritize multiple and competing priorities while driving a plan to execution.

While working closely with digital leadership, regional leaders, business leadership, technology and design teams to accomplish impactful results, this role will enable a high performing cross-functional team to develop global, integrated development plans and program level strategies, ensure alignment with portfolio plans through senior management, and drive the execution of development plans. The individual is expected to ensure comprehensive communication of program status, updates, key decisions, risks and scenarios to all key stakeholders

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and mentor program managers to ensure flawless execution.
  • Leads and drives portfolio strategy to enable an integrated and coordinated approach across against all workstreams within the overall program roadmap.
  • Support development of strategic multi-year roadmap with milestones, dependencies, deliverables and resources.
  • Owns escalation process for risks and issues and develops remediation strategies with Senior Leadership
  • Facilitates dependencies across integrated workstreams, ensuring continuous stakeholder alignment in support of progress towards milestones
  • Ensures workstreams are making consistent progress toward north star strategy, actively anticipating and removing obstacles
  • Facilitates dependencies across integrated workstreams, ensuring continuous stakeholder alignment in support of progress towards milestones
  • Establishes OKRs, success metrics and ensure measurement against those goals.
  • Develops and reports status and metrics to actively manage and track against milestones and activations
  • Owns the senior leadership and core stakeholder management relationships, drives alignment, prioritization, and critical decision making
  • Generate integrated project plans (IPP) and maintenance of program timelines that serve as a single source of information
  • Ensure effective communication within teams, across functions, and to key stakeholders throughout the organization, including senior management
  • Lead and/or participate in special department, cross-functional, or team projects
  • Facilitate resource planning, financial, and capacity assessments.

Key Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 12+ years of experience in program management, managing portfolio strategy and roadmaps in a technology focused business.
  • Bachelor’s degree or Master’s (preferred) or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum 4 years experience leading program teams.
  • Experience leading large program management efforts including establishing effective governance structures, cross functional coordination, and executive stakeholder management and reporting.
  • Proven experience developing and managing work back schedules, scope, budgets, resource plans, issues, risks and change requests.
  • Strong relationship-building skills and experience working closely with senior executives and cross-functional partners to deliver key strategic initiatives.
  • Strong end to end project management skills, shepherding multiple programs from kick off to completion.
  • Strong presentation and influencing skills and the ability to interact with executive level business and technical partner
  • Experience with Adobe suite.
  • Comfortable speaking with multiple stakeholders at varying levels, ability to synthesize detail project tasks to report up high level accomplishments and risks
  • Ability to connect project/status to business needs, tracking quantifiable results
  • Proactive desire to own and drive projects forward through measurable process, planning and team engagement.
  • Comfortable working in a very fast-paced, results-oriented environment
  • Delivery experience using Agile and Waterfall methodologies
  • Experience with Project and Portfolio management tools
