Position Summary Information


The Department of Electrical Engineering at Santa Clara University invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor or Associate Professor starting in the 2019-2020 academic year. Digital systems and architectures are a strategic growth area for the department. To complement expertise of current faculty, address areas of strong interest to students, and enhance collaboration opportunities with local industries, the department is interested in candidates with expertise in areas of digital systems, embedded systems and computer architecture such as digital system design and synthesis, Systems-on-Chip (SoC), programmable and adaptive architectures; IOT and cyber-physical systems.

Salary Depending on qualifications; benefits eligible. Basic Qualifications

Applicants must hold a doctorate in electrical engineering, or in a closely related field; have demonstrated a strong potential for high-quality research; and have a strong commitment and ability to teach at both the undergraduate and graduate levels.

Preferred Qualifications Responsibilities

Teaching undergraduate and graduate courses in areas of specialization, and lower division courses of a fundamental nature, and fulfilling all responsibilities related to those courses. Curriculum development at the undergraduate and graduate level.

Developing a productive research program that engages students and produces high-quality publications and innovations.

Appropriate service to the Department, School, University, and profession.

Start Date 09/01/2018 Work Authorization

A foreign national who is appointed to a tenured or tenure-track faculty position is eligible for sponsorship by Santa Clara University.
