Do you want to pioneer cutting edge voice technology? Build new ways for voice assistants to make life easier and more fun for customers? Leverage and optimize one of the largest knowledge graphs in the world? Our team does just that.

We power the majority of fact-based questions answered by Alexa world-wide. We’ve built the deepest and most flexible knowledge graph on the planet, containing billions of entities, hundreds of billions of facts, and an extensible presentation layer used to build customer delighting experiences. We are looking for an entrepreneurial, experienced, creative, and visionary Principal TPM to join our team and to help p define and champion the vision for Alexa’s Knowledge

A day in the life

As the Principal Technical Program Manager (TPM) on our team, you'll be the key communicator on organization-wide, cross-team initiatives and shepherd large complex programs from concept to to completion. You'll work closely with software developers, senior technical talent, product managers, design experts and executive teams to identify, define, and implement solutions to raise the bar on the Alexa customer experience, measured by an outsized impact on customers' interest in and engagement with Alexa. You will have significant influence on our overall strategy by helping define product features, drive the system architecture, and spearhead the best practices that enable a quality product.

You have a sound understanding of the fundamentals of Computer Science, and practical experience building large-scale distributed systems. Basic Qualifications

· Experience managing projects across cross functional teams, building sustainable processes and coordinating release schedules

· 10+ years of relevant engineering experience

· 7+ years of technical program management experience

Preffered Qualifications

* Master’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related technical discipline

* Experience launching and maintaining services with millions of users around the world

* Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to simplify complex topics for broad audiences, both business and technical teams.

* Capable of taking initiative and working with minimal direction; a self-starter even when assignments are vague or undefined.

* High attention to detail and proven ability to manage multiple, competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.

* Skilled in risk management, business risk analysis and making complex business/risk trade-off recommendations and decisions

* Maturity, judgment, and proven ability to lead and influence others

* A passion for learning, occasionally failing, and then learning once again

* Independently driven, resourceful, and able to deliver results with minimal direction
