The Sales Automation Team focuses on developing products and tools to help Autodesk Sellers, Customer Success Reps and Partners better serve our extensive customer base. We are tasked with helping build a partnership between People, Data and Automation that results in the best possible customer experience and employee satisfaction. To this end, we are looking for a Senior User Experience Designer to drive the creation of a cohesive and intuitive experience in our Salesforce.com environment and all of its associated systems.

The Senior User Experience Designer, Sales Automaton must be able to produce exceptional design thinking at the whiteboard, at the keyboard, and in design review sessions. You will inspire and lead the design for these new experiences. You must have a proven record participating on multi-disciplinary design teams using an agile design process. You must tenaciously consolidate input from multiple stakeholders including leaders in Sales, Marketing and IT.

Responsibilities

  • Help shape the vision and user experience for the next generation of Sales Automation and Analytics tools
  • Partner with key stakeholders to create and evangelize a new class of user experiences for design
  • Determine and use the most appropriate design methods; use cases, storyboards, flow diagrams, wireframes, interaction patterns, prototypes, and other iterative artifacts
  • Develop and articulate a vision for design principles that can be applied across systems and workflows
  • Assist in the creation and evolution of UI for Sales productivity, dashboards and analytics tools
  • Partner with Sales Automation Product Managers to create intuitive user experiences and design coherency across initiatives
  • Partner with Sales Automation and Enablement leaders to develop training and adoption strategies/documentation

Minimum Qualifications

  • 5 years of professional interaction design experience designing desktop software, web or SaaS applications. You're a seasoned UX/HCI designer and a pro at simplifying complex applications
  • Portfolio demonstrating superior design skills. You can produce relevant artifacts that accelerate our development and prototyping effort
  • Exceptional communications skills. You can write, speak, and visualize UX deliverables with ease and confidence in design reviews and stakeholder meetings
  • Skilled, enthusiastic, collaborative, intelligent, and curious. You'll scout out relevant research or researchers because you have an appetite for learning and for promoting the vision of our customer's experience with Autodesk sellers

Preferred Qualifications

  • Expertise working with sales teams or products developed for sales and/or marketing
  • Degree or relevant experience in Interaction Design, Industrial/Mechanical Design, or Human-Computer Interaction
  • Expertise in modern software development processes for user experience design
  • Strong skills in problem definition and user-needs analysis, including the ability to focus on the “right“ problems to solve in order to advance strategic goals
  • Working knowledge of Salesforce.com and associated ecosystem
  • Ability to partner with extended team members to identify design opportunities and fix usability issues. A solid understanding of quantitative and qualitative research methods
  • Ability to solve complex problems and drive projects from concept through implementation
  • Interact with and influence others effectively via teamwork and diplomacy
  • Eagerness to understand the state-of-the-art in interaction principals for sales teams in complex selling environments
