Position Overview

The Financial Systems and Operations Team is looking for a Development Manager for the Robotic Process Automation team to help Finance build and manage solutions that digitize manual processes across our Finance organization. The RPA team in Finance is a key part of supporting the Autodesk goal of digitizing the company in support of our business model transition. You will use your professional application programming skills to help drive Autodesk's RPA delivery of applications to internal stakeholders, ensuring that productivity is enhanced as a result. The ideal candidate will be resourceful, good communicator, details, self-starter with a background in application programming looking to jump into a fast-paced organization where they can immediately contribute to the digitization of Autodesk.

Responsibilities

* Manage team of RPA developers

* Manage build backlog and current RPA builds including helping developers trouble shoot any issues

* Work closely with other RPA teams in support and planning of build and run activities

* Modify existing software to correct errors and to improve its performance

* Analyze user needs and software requirements to determine feasibility of design within time and cost constraints

* Confer with systems analysts, engineers, programmers and others to design software and to obtain information on project limitations and capabilities, performance requirements and interfaces

* Develop and direct software testing and validation procedures, programming, and documentation

* Coordinate software installation and monitor equipment functioning to ensure specifications are met

* Devise logic procedures, prepare flowcharting, perform coding, and conduct test/debug software programs

* Balance business requirements with technical feasibility and set expectations on new projects

* Respond to incoming issues via tracking systems, proactively monitor system for problems, and train system users as appropriate

* Design innovative conceptual architecture and technical solutions and lead efforts to develop and implement client-approved solution

* Attend meetings with external vendors or intra organizations to discuss issues and maintain relationships

* Work with business stakeholders, programmers, and other analysts to develop software solutions or enhance existing solutions

* Provide technical guidance to off-shore resources to deliver on projects, enhancements, and other commitments

* Deliver presentations to key internal customers and senior management

* Ensure that contracting resources are leveraged appropriately

Minimum Qualifications

* Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related field, plus 5 years of experience in the job offered, or in an application programming-related occupation

Preferred Qualifications

* At least 5 years of experience in each of the following skills:

* C# .NET application development using Visual Studio to work on automation technologies

* 2 years' experience with Pegasystems/OpenSpan, UiPath, BluePrism or Automation Anywhere

* Web Application design and implementation using ASP.NET 3.0/4.0 and C# to interact with web & windows-based applications and build Windows-based GUI

* Utilizing WCF Web services, XML, REST, and SOAP Web Services to improve speed, consistency and data accuracy

* Test Automation scripting experience using Quick Test Professional Source code management tools: GitHub, Microsoft Team Foundation Server (TFS) to perform regular backups and version control

* Utilizing JavaScript, Angular JS, HTML5 & CSS3, Java using Eclipse, C, Jasmine, ActionScript 3.0

* Agile development practices for development, with a strong emphasis on evolving requirements, with rapid & flexible response to change
