JOB TITLE: Noontime Supervisor

Job Purpose Statement/s: The job of Noontime Supervisor is done for the purpose/s of enforcing disciplinary policies and regulations; communicating observations and incidents to other school personnel that may impact the welfare, safety, and/or security of students, personnel, visitors and the school site.

Essential Job Functions:

* Monitors students during lunch periods and recesses within a variety of school environments, (i.e. restrooms, playgrounds, hallways, classrooms, library, bus stops, cafeteria, and adjacent areas) for the purpose of providing for the safety and welfare of students.

* Informs students, personnel and the general public as appropriate for the purpose of ensuring their understanding of school regulations and policies.

* Patrols school facilities (e.g. grounds, roads, buildings, etc.) for the purpose of providing visibility within the school setting to students and the general public and deterring crime.

* Prepares documentation for the purpose of providing written support and/or conveying information.

* Reports observations and incidents relating to specific students (i.e. discipline, accidents, etc.) for the purpose of communicating information to teachers and administration.

Other Job Functions:

* When appropriate, administers playground equipment for the purpose of providing equipment necessary for activities.

* Assists other personnel as may be required for the purpose of supporting them in the completion of their work activities.

Job Requirements - Qualifications:

* Knowledge and/or Abilities Required:

Skill to use English in both written and verbal form and make common sense decisions.

Knowledge of campus and student safety.

Ability to stand and walk for prolonged periods, understand oral and written instruction.

* Licenses, Certifications, Bonding, and/or Testing Required:

Criminal Justice Fingerprint Clearance, Tuberculosis Testing/Clearance

This position works 5 days per week (Monday-Friday), 181 days per year.
