A conveniently located community hospital in Southern California is actively seeking an Assistant Nurse Manager to lead their Critical Care Unit during the night shift. The CCU Assistant Nurse Manager will enjoy the work / life balance that comes with working three, 12 hour shifts while still being in a formal leadership position. This important ICU Assistant Nurse Manager position is a salaried position and leads an experienced team of CCRN prepared Staff Nurses and Charge RNs. The Critical Care Assistant Nurse Manager will work collaboratively with the day shift ICU Nurse Manager and one additional Night Shift ICU Nurse Supervisor. Consistent communication will ensure smooth transitions from day shift to night shift staff, appropriate patient care is communicated and that quality initiatives are continued around the clock.

The Critical Care Assistant Nurse Manager will work in a high acuity 12 bed Intensive Care Unit. This ICU maintains a staffing ratio of 1:1 or 1:2. The acute care medical center is part of a regional healthcare system that is highly renowned. The advanced ICU team work closely Emergency Department and Administrative Nurse Supervisor to ensure appropriate patient care, bed assignment and patient flow.
