Responsibilities

* Conducts programmatic intelligence support to the SAC, Field Office Director (FOD) and Office of the Principal Legal Advisor (OPLA) offices in their AOR.

* Administers law enforcement-focused intelligence collection and operational planning activities within the SAC investigative groups, operations, and surge efforts as needed based on priorities.

* Assists the ICE classified Connectivity Program Management Office (CPMO) to meet classified connectivity needs within the SAC office by developing SAC requirements and ensures appropriate connectivity throughout the SAC AOR as needed.

* Develops partnerships/liaisons with the Intelligence Community by coordinating and reporting to HSI Intelligence via HSI HQ operations prior to conducting non-routine interactions with the Intelligence Community.

Qualifications

Applicants must demonstrate that they meet Minimum Qualification requirements as noted below.

Specialized Experience:

GS-14: Applicant must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent in difficulty and responsibility to the GS-13 level in the Federal service that included experience such as:

* Managing the operation of an intelligence program

* Overseeing the professional development of Intelligence Research Specialists

* Developing a partnership/liaison with other local intelligence managers

Selective Placement Factor(s): Selective placement factors are applied in the same manner as minimum qualification requirements. Relevant selective placement factor experience must be well documented in your resume. Failure to meet a selective placement factor will result in you not receiving further consideration. In addition to the minimum qualifications described above, you must meet the following selective placement factor(s): Are you able to speak Spanish with sufficient structural accuracy and vocabulary to participate in formal and informal conversations?

Training: You will be required to attend the Immigration and Customs Enforcement Basic Intelligence Training (ICEBIT)course, which is located at the HSI Intelligence Training Center in Rosslyn, Virginia. The five-week course is designed for ICE Intelligence Research Specialists (IRS)and Intelligence Operations Specialists (IOS), providing them with the basic skills necessary to be effective and successful IRSs/IOSs while supporting DHS and ICE missions. Specific intelligence training must be completed according to the standards of the HSI Office of Intelligence. Failure to do so will be grounds for mandatory removal from the position. Such failure will result in either reassignment to a different position, demotion, or separation by appropriate procedures.
