Lead Cloud Software Application Engineer - CEPK13

* Utilize your technical expertise to lead and expand the software solutions in the Cloud Computing Market

* Lead the architect, design and development of critical features that have never before been possible for Cloud infrastructures.

* Lead the design and development of differentiating tools and infrastructure for cloud computation solutions built on open source cloud technologies like OpenStack and CloudStack

* Work closely and guide our software partners to optimize existing cloud solutions and infrastructures on Cavium platforms as well as influence key partner roadmaps and priorities

* Engage with lead end users for initial solution deployment and optimization

* Lead the participation and influence key Open Source projects that are core to the broader cloud computing community.

* Clearly document all design work and ensure that customer documentation is complete and accurate.

* Lead and drive key feature enhancements back into Cavium development teams across software engineering, systems development and SOC design and impact the definition of next-generation architectures.


* Expert knowledge in C/C++, Java, python and shell application development

* Linux administration and networking experience

* 6+ years of experience with cloud storage infrastructure and applications

* 6+ years of experience in scale-out application design, development, deployment, and operations

* Large scale cluster server architecture knowledge and development expertise

* Linux kernel experience a plus along with Open Source upstream commitment track record

* ARM architecture experience a plus

* Ability to build strong technical relationships with partners and customers

* Excellent communication skills – verbal and written


* BS degree in Computer Science or related fields, Advanced degree a plus
