Over 100,000 developers use our product to power all kinds of applications that affect people’s lives and livelihoods. Rollbar is used by some of the best engineering teams in the world, including Twilio, Salesforce, Geico, Zendesk, JP Morgan Chase and Twitch. 

We are looking for a seasoned VP of Marketing to lead the company’s marketing organization as it enters a major growth phase. This is a high-impact leadership role where you will report directly to our Chief Revenue Officer (CRO). You will own the company’s positioning, messaging, go-to-market strategy, demand generation, and build thought leadership around our product. A proven track record of building and leading high performance teams in a fast-paced start-up environment, preferably within a B2B SaaS company, is highly desirable.

You will:

  • Partner with the executive team to develop the company’s positioning, messaging, content and sales tools for the Rollbar platform and products
  • Translate strategic initiatives into actionable marketing strategies and plans aligned with each market segment with clear KPIs
  • Lead and mentor a team of marketers across demand generation, product marketing, and marketing operations in a fast-paced, customer-focused start-up
  • Prioritize potential projects through demonstrating their alignment with our business strategy and the value to our customers
  • Exercise a data-centric approach to gather customer/user insights and use data to improve future marketing campaigns and results
  • Collaborate with product management, engineering, and sales to inform the larger product strategy based on market trends and industry landscape
  • Drive the creation of content, assets, and tools including sales presentations, ROI tools, whitepapers, blogs, competitive briefs and other materials
  • Leverage existing and new marketing technologies to evolve and innovate marketing strategy and tactics, improve efficiency and increase results
  • Get your hands dirty when the job requires
  • Recruit top talent to grow the marketing team at Rollbar 

You have:

  • Proven B2B marketing leadership experience of 10+ years
  • Industry experience in software development tools or DevOps tools 
  • Experience driving demand and revenue, and successfully scaling a company in the growth stage (example from $10M to $50M+ in ARR)  
  • Deep product marketing experience including driving product launches, market segmentation, pricing and packaging for a technical audience
  • Experience building and leading world-class marketing functions
  • Inherently collaborative nature
  • Ability to lead through effective presentation skills and partnership, enabling you to win hearts and minds of your peers to successfully execute a complex product roadmap
  • A sense of urgency and ability to act quickly and decisively, possessing self-confidence to be assertive when taking a position, and not afraid to make decisions
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
