BRIDGE Housing closed on $100 million in Taxable Bonds, Series 2020 (Sustainability Bonds). BRIDGE will use bond proceeds for predevelopment, development and acquisition of multifamily housing that fit within its Sustainability Bond Framework of affordable housing, transit-oriented development, green building and energy efficiency.

BRIDGE Finance & Accounting Team

The Finance & Accounting Team at BRIDGE has 40 staff members split across three teams: Corporate, Property Management Accounting, and Development Accounting.

Reporting to the Finance and Treasury Manager, the Treasury Analyst is responsible for day-to-day activities and monitoring of treasury strategy and management of cash balances across all BRIDGE entities. BRIDGE has several hundred entities which maintain operating cash and reserve balances for various purposes. This complex structure will require this position to assist in building systems and process to monitor cash across entities. Essential to the role, this position will forecast cash inflows and outflows to determine appropriate investment strategy to maximize returns working with the Finance and Treasury Manager. This position will also work on various special projects throughout the year, including the completion of various budget and financial consolidated schedules.

This position requires a highly detail-oriented individual with good written and oral presentation capacities. The role is in an active office environment and must help build a strong accounting team.

Responsibilities

Treasury Function

  • Coordinate with banking partners to monitor financial products and opportunities
  • Execute on cash management and investment strategy with guidance from team
  • Research investment products in line with cash management strategy and provide recommendation
  • Provide financial input on investments, loans, and liabilities
  • Prepare monthly and quarterly treasury reports and budgets
  • Implement accounting procedures for new investment products
  • Document and provide input on financial policies and procedures

Financial Analysis

  • Monitor legal agreements to ensure the organization is compliant with financial and legal regulations
  • Compile, analyze and interpret financial data across BRIDGE’s business lines
    • Review and audit project status reports quarterly
    • Compare business line revenues on the portfolio level
  • Prepare financial forecasts such as revenue, expenses, and loan estimations
  • Partner with business leaders across departments to analyze and forecast expenses

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance/Accounting /Economics
  • 2+ years of relevant finance or treasury management work experience
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Proficiency with spreadsheets, databases, and financial software applications, including Excel (vlookups, pivot tables, etc.)
  • Demonstrated the ability to be an effective team member who displays initiative under pressure
  • Ability to handle confidential information in a discreet, professional manner
  • Good communication skills and written/oral presentation capability
  • Ability to work under supervision and prioritize workload to meet monthly and quarterly deadlines

  • Experience with Yardi preferred
