This position is being filled under the FTC Partnership in Education Program (PIE Program). The PIE Program is designed to attract rising high school seniors. The Student Trainees will receive opportunities for learning in a professional work environment that focuses on FTC career-related fields such as human resources management, investigating, accounting, law enforcement, law, information technology, and economics. The vision of success is to improve high school students' performance and graduation rates, raise student ambition through exposure to new experiences, and provide an opportunity to put academics in a practical context. The Student Trainees will receive mentoring throughout the PIE Program, opportunities for career development, and perform a wide variety of special projects and administrative assignments within the FTC to support the Agency's mission.

As a Student Trainee with the FTC, you will assist higher-level staff with various administrative duties and support the offices within the FTC. As a Student Trainee, you will perform the following duties that may include, but are not limited to:

* Maintaining office records and filing material.

* Assisting higher-level staff with developing documents using a variety of office automation applications.

* Providing callers and visitors with general information.

* Processing and distributing mail to appropriate individuals.

* Receiving incoming calls and visitors.

* Assisting with customer service and best practices initiatives.

* Recent transcripts or school verification and report card.

* This position requires U.S citizenship.

* At least 16 years of age.

* Enrolled at least half-time at qualifying educational institution.

* Selective Service registration is required for males born after 12/31/1959.

* Relocation expenses will not be paid.

To be eligible, you must be currently enrolled or accepted for enrollment on at least a half-time basis in an accredited high school, college (including 4-year colleges/universities, community colleges, and junior colleges); professional, technical, vocational, and trade school; advanced degree programs; or other qualifying educational institution pursuing a qualifying degree or certificate. Certificate programs are defined as post-secondary education, in a qualifying educational institution, equivalent to at least one academic year of full-time study that is part of an accredited college-level, technical, trade, vocational, or business school curriculum.

In addition, High School students must provide their most recent report card to verify GPA of 2.0 or greater.

If selected, official transcripts/school verification form and report card must be submitted prior to establishing a start date.
