Sr. Systems Engineer

    An employer is looking for a Senior Systems Engineer to work onsite in San Francisco, CA. As a Senior Client Systems Engineer
  • you will provide services in support of the employers operation and critical projects. You will support a variety of operating systems and maintain infrastructure in Public and Private cloud infrastructure. Client Engineers troubleshoot and problem solve across platform and application domains. proven understanding of product life cycle (Dev/Test/Production) as this position requires the creation of custom applications with PowerShell. Must be comfortable working independently, working with external vendors, and setting up POCs for new technology (hardware and software). This position requires the ability to support one or more of the following: Microsoft Windows Servers (2003, 2008, 2012), Active Directory, Point of Sale (POS) systems [Triversity / Micros], SCCM 2007, SCCM 2012, Group Policy, hybrid cloud / datacenter environments.

  • t Manage production and pre-production technology systems in a hybrid cloud/datacenter environment
  • tAutomate building systems and deploying applications.
  • tManage and support Active Directory (Directory Services, DFS, DNS, GPO)
  • tRespond to P1/P2 issues in a timely manner according to response SLA
  • tRespond to ServiceNow tickets in queue
  • tParticipate in a 24x7 on-call rotation

  • t10+ years relevant experience as a Systems Engineer (years of experience is non-negotiable)
  • t2+ years relevant experience in a retail systems environment (years of experience is non-negotiable)
  • tStrong proficiency in Windows Server (2003, 2008/R2 and 2012/R2)
  • tExpert-level knowledge of Active Directory, Group Policy Preferences (GPP) and Group Policy (GPO) creation and management
  • tProficient with REST APIs and SOAP to manipulate cloud applications
  • t2+ years scripting in PowerShell (other languages will be considered JSON, Ruby, Python)
  • tExcellent communication skills both written and verbal, flexibility in concepts and action, able to handle aggressive mission critical deadlines
  • tLooks for any areas of improvement and suggests changes, rather than waiting for direction
  • tExcellent team player - proven ability to resolve problems professionally and systematically

  • tIdentity Access Management (IAM) and Privileged Access Management (PAM), Pager Duty, O365, Exchange, Thycotic, Centrify
  • tStrong proficiency in managing DNS, KMS, DFS, SMTP, SNMP, clustering
  • tProficiency in VMware VSphere and cloud management technologies
