Senior Software Engineer, Data Infrastructure

San Francisco, CA

The mission of the Growth Data Team is to provide deep analytics on customer engagement and maturity to our internal teams so that we can automatically deliver contextual, relevant, data-driven experiences based on the lifecycle stage of the customer. Our team is tasked with building a data platform on top of the incredible amount of business, user, and customer data that New Relic possesses as well as delivering valuable insights on top of that platform to the teams that need it.

We are looking for a talented senior software engineer to join us in building a scalable data ingest, processing, and analysis infrastructure to enable our coworkers and ourselves to analyze vast quantities of customer usage data collected and stored across a wide variety of data storage tools. We are an internal tools team, and the scope of the software we build exceeds that of simply warehousing data.

You will contribute to the vision for data infrastructure and business intelligence tools, work with engineers and data analysts to establish best practices for table schemas and data storage. You should also possess deep technical skills, be comfortable working in and contributing to a nascent data infrastructure, and excited about building a strong data foundation for the company. We are looking for someone will be scrappy, independent, and excited about having a big impact at New Relic.
