Senior Communications Manager

We are seeking an experienced corporate communications manager to develop and drive a world-class communications and PR/AR strategy. You will utilize your broad network of media relationships to develop programs that promote consistent company messaging and awareness across a broad range of communication channels including website, social media, industry events, analyst relations, and public relations.

Our goal is to elevate Lob’s brand by developing messaging platforms for key executives, insert Lob’s voice into relevant industry issues, create awareness around our product offerings, and tell corporate stories about Lob & top customers. This is an unprecedented opportunity to build Lob’s brand and positioning as market leader in enterprise APIs and automated direct mail.

As our Sr. Communications Manager, you’ll…

  • Build, execute, and manage our PR strategy to amplify our brand and elevate our narrative as a leading technology company
  • Develop a strategic analyst relations program that will land positive coverage in relevant industry and research reports (e.g. Gartner or Forrester)
  • Own and drive operational media training
  • Identify and develop impactful speaking engagements, media opportunities, and thought leadership initiatives for company executives that will increase visibility for the company
  • Establish and manage Lob’s social media channels to advance the passion and enthusiasm for Lob’s mission, build Lob’s brand, and awareness for our offerings
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with senior editors at business and technology media outlets and trade publications
  • Shape Lob’s point-of-view on industry, regulatory, and other policy-related topics across current trends to ensure the company is part of the conversation
  • Develop and manage joint media strategies with clients, strategic partners and industry influencers to infuse their voice into campaigns, news announcements and other activities
  • Measure the effectiveness of our efforts, including results against content, earned media, and other targets

For this role, we’re looking for…

  • 5+ years of experience working in PR and analyst relations (B2B enterprise software preferred), both in-house and agency
  • Deep relationships with senior reporters and editors in technology and business press
  • Experience managing PR agencies and analyst firms
  • Passion for corporate storytelling
  • Social media strategy and execution experience across all channels
  • Superior written and verbal communication skills
  • A strong interest in technology and deep understanding of market trends
  • Extremely organized, driven, and persistent: never miss a follow up
