The Customer Data and Analytics organization is a critical component of the Customer and Strategy Team at Gap Inc. This team is chartered with unlocking the power of customer data and analytics to drive customer obsession across Gap Inc. The organization is also responsible for building the Customer Data and Analytics Platform on behalf of the entire organization in partnership with GapTech (IT team).

Reporting to the Director of Decision & Marketing Analytics, the Sr. Analyst is part of a team focused on employing experimentation and data-driven advanced analytic approaches to measure the value of customer experiences, optimize direct and customer marketing channels to drive incremental sales and response, and understand ways to influence customer lifecycle and path to purchase.

Key Responsibilities:

* Leverage advanced analytic techniques such as A/B testing and data science to address business questions and measure the impact of customer experiences.

* Support execution and analysis of strategic initiatives through proactive partnership with cross-functional teams.

* Identify requirements and effectively manage analytical projects from inception to completion including data acquisition, cleaning, analysis and communication of results.

* Provide strategic recommendations resulting from the analysis of customer and marketing initiatives.

* Create visualizations and data products that make data digestible and highlight important insights that will drive business decisions.

Key Experiences:

* 2-4 years of experience in marketing analytics, quantitative marketing or data science.

* Hands-on measurement of direct and customer marketing channels.

* Experience in test design, measurement and statistical analysis techniques.

* Experience with common toolkits such as SQL, R and Python.

* Skilled in data visualization, report and dashboard development. Experience with Power BI preferred.

* Strong business acumen, written and verbal skills.

* Bachelor's degree (preferably in a quantitative field such as math, statistics, physics, or quantitative marketing)
