As part of a high-performance team, the Content Manager (CM) for SAM is responsible for overseeing the creation of high-quality content by authors, vendors, and subject matter experts (SMEs) for use in digital products; having content finished, which includes accuracy checking and copyediting; coordinating final content delivery to SAM development; and overseeing the development of SAM content. The Content Manager works collaboratively with various internal and external stakeholders to ensure content for assigned projects meets requirements and is delivered on schedule and within budget.

What You'll Do Here:

* Demonstrates basic project management skills; anticipates project needs and can plan content projects' and, with manager guidance, can anticipate dependencies and problem areas in schedule and budget

* Under guidance of manager, completes all tasks of Content Manager sourcing and preparing quality content, including content authoring, updating, copyediting, accuracy checking, and other content sourcing and preparation tasks, aligning to learning design/principles

* Under guidance of manager, works with key stakeholders in a consultative manner, beginning to advise on best practices for overall strategy and content plan

* Under guidance of manager, contributes to process development and documentation

Skills You Will Need Here:

* Bachelor's degree plus 2-3 years' experience in project management or equivalent work experience

* Excellent verbal and written communication skills

* Excellent computer skills, including familiarity with the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)

* Consultative, cooperative, solutions-oriented, and service-minded perspective

* Strong project management and organizational skills; the ability to successfully manage multiple projects and prioritize multiple tasks

* Ability to embrace, assimilate, and implement new processes, procedures, and standards in an environment of continuous improvement and change

* Ability to collaborate and work effectively and efficiently in a team environment

* Experience with agile development processes and recurring release cycles.

* Experience working with JIRA or a comparable bug tracking tool.

Preferred:

* Understanding of how to use metadata to support information retrieval.

* Familiarity with content formats (HTML, XML) and product platforms

* Database experience

* Knowledge of ADA compliance
