The Loss Prevention Host position is responsible for interacting with customers as they enter the store, introducing campaign messages and store literature and providing astonishing customer service while maintaining a loss prevention awareness at the front of the store. This role is a part-time/full-time, hourly, non-exempt position.

  • Establishes effective connections with a variety of customers entering the store, while maintaining an awareness of the salesfloor to help multiple customers
  • Actively directs customers to the proper department to meet their needs, and helps find support from another salesperson on the floor for their customers
  • Engages with customers to provide key campaign messages and shares campaign literature as they enter the store
  • Understands importance of and how to successfully implement our Man in the Desert Selling approach which includes an approach, a connection and a sale
  • Provides regular feedback to the Salesfloor Leader to ensure that the resources of the store are serving our customers
  • Supports with selling and register sales assistance when the business needs and returns to the host role when need is over
  • Demonstrates enthusiastic and productive behavior, with the goal of providing exceptions service to our customer and meeting or exceeding company goals and objectives
  • Stays in regular communication with the Loss Prevention Investigators to keep them aware of any loss prevention concerns
  • Support the Loss Prevention Investigators with floor surveillance by offering exceptional customer service
  • Makes sure that all un-bagged merchandise leaving the store with our customers has been paid for by ensuring 'green tape' has been applied, or asking to review sales receipts
  • Visually maintains the front feature areas of the stores and coordinates with Visual Sales team for replenishment
  • Handles cash and other valuables appropriately and securely
  • Maintains a safe working and shopping environment, utilizing all available resources, ensuring safety and security of the employees, customers and property
  • Consistently arrives promptly to work the assigned schedule
  • Responsible for maintaining discretion related to all confidential/sensitive company and customer information
  • Performs other requested tasks and duties

  • College degree preferred
  • Retail sales experience a plus
  • Ability to travel 5% a year, based on the business needs
  • Based in the Manhattan market
  • Ability to travel between stores in the Manhattan market
  • Computer skills
  • Proven communication skills able to quickly connect with large volume of customers
