Job Description:

Prologis is seeking an Environmental & Engineering Associate in our San Francisco, CA office. This is a full-time position.

Duties include the following: This position will: 1) support acquisition, disposition, financing, development and operation of assets (including environmentally challenged assets); 2) together with the Development Team, manage and oversee remediation and redevelopment of environmentally challenged properties within Prologis' existing portfolio; and 3) provide compliance reporting, research, training, and analytical support for the Environmental & Engineering Department. This position includes the collection and analysis of portfolio environmental characteristics and interfaces regularly with third party environmental and engineering consultants. This position will also work extensively with internal stakeholders to gather portfolio data and perform data analysis, as well as support a culture of collaborative problem-solving of complex environmental and engineering concerns.

Position Responsibilities:

* Direct appropriate scope and perform detailed review of third party environmental reports for acquisitions, fund initiatives, financing initiatives, leasing, dispositions and ongoing remediation activities with minimal direction from Manager.

* Review consultant performance, including project budgets and completeness of environmental underwriting assumptions.

* Create and manage systems to track resolution of critical environmental issues.

* Manage and monitor contractor performance on environmental remediation projects.

* Assist in development and maintenance of project documentation.

* Prepare technical and financial documentation in support of environmental cost recovery activities, tenant inquiries, litigation support, and incident response.

* Other duties as assigned.

Essential Skills & Experience:

* Bachelor's degree in Environmental, Engineering or relevant field

* At least 7 years relevant work experience (Phase I and Phase II Environmental Site Assessments, risk assessment, remedial design, cost estimation, environmental insurance products, etc.)

* Working knowledge of commercial building operations

* Project management experience with demonstrated attention to detail and accuracy

* Ability to prioritize and manage multiple assignments to meet deadlines

* Positive, proactive 'team player' mentality, with a sense of urgency and follow-through

* Ability to work independently to achieve objectives without constant oversight

* Ability to communicate effectively (oral and written)

* High degree of proficiency with Excel and Microsoft Office Suite

* Discretion, confidentiality and good judgment in handling sensitive documentation

Nonessential Skills & Experience:

* MBA or relevant advanced degree (underway or completed)

* Ability to critically analyze ideas and proposals and think holistically

* Capable of working proactively, independently, and with exceptional attention to detail

* Self-motivated and willing to be judged on results

* Flexibility and creativity in approach to new ideas and projects
