Sutter Pacific Medical Foundation is a not for profit corporation that exists to provide medical services, research and education. The foundation provides the infrastructure for the delivery of physician services, and contracts with a separate corporation comprised of physicians and other care providers to deliver the clinical services. This multi-specialty foundation will provide a platform from which new physicians can be recruited to continue to provide physician services in a nonprofit, community setting. The Foundation's vision is to create a medical group that will deliver high quality, market competitive medical services.
Under direct supervision by the care center supervisor or manager, will provide administrative support to patients and providers, including the efficient operations of the clinic. Responsibilities will be to answer phones and handle general inquiries. Will greet external physicians, patients, and the public in meeting their needs when they arrive at the clinic or office. Duties will also include maintaining, tracking and scheduling patient appointments or services using the automated scheduling system and other scheduling support systems.
High School Diploma Or equivalent education/experience is required.
Bachelor's degree Or equivalent education/experience is preferred.
Experience: Minimum of 2 years working in a healthcare environment and/or otherwise applicable position required.
Experience working with doctor's schedules preferred.
Minimum of 2 years computer experience required; Epic and Microsoft Office preferred.
Experience in information systems work environment preferred.
Skills and Knowledge:
Knowledge of healthcare.
Demonstrated proficiency with MS Office Suite (i.e. Word, Excel), and Outlook, as well as an ability to learn new programs with ease.
Proficiency in administrative office procedures and protocol; meeting planning, scheduling, and maintenance of filing and office systems.
Ability to type 50 wpm.
Intermediate knowledge of Medical Terminology.
Exceptional communication and customer services skills required.
Demonstrated strong organizational skills, ability to prioritize and manage a great number of details and multi-task with strong follow through required.
Ability to take initiative, learn quickly and actively, participate as part of an administrative team.
Must have the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with all levels of staff, volunteers and the general public
Must possess excellent interpersonal skills and be comfortable with people in all stages of health and healing.
Must adhere to HIPAA regulations and maintain clinic, physician, RN and patient confidentially.
