We are looking for an experienced Contracts Manager to join our dynamic and growing team at our corporate headquarters in San Francisco, CA. This position will be responsible for the drafting, review, and negotiation of a variety of in-bound/expense side commercial contracts with the support of Procurement, Finance, Infosec, Legal and the internal business requestors. You will be a key contributor on the Contracts team and will be responsible for reviewing commercial legal terms of vendor contracts for various types of goods and services. Additionally, you will be the key liaison between vendors, sourcing, legal and internal clients to negotiate and resolve commercial legal issues and move contracts forward to execution.

About the Role:

* Draft, review and negotiate in-bound/expense side agreements (e.g. statements of work, confidentiality agreements, content/software licenses, SaaS, , agencies, events, etc.) with commercial legal issues (i.e. indemnification, limitation of liability, IP ownership, confidentiality, SLAs, etc.). Agreements will be both on New Relic standard form contracts as well as supplier paper.

* Support legal engagement process for inbound/expense side agreements, including general inquiries and requests for inbound legal contract support.

* Partner with Procurement and Legal teams to develop and continuously improve best practices for a consistent, compliant and efficient inbound contracting process including: playbooks, company standard form agreements and systems automation across contract lifecycles.

* Responsible for liaising with Procurement, Legal, internal clients and stakeholders (Information Security and Finance), suppliers, and as needed, external counsel to identify and communicate legal issues as well as advise on legal terms and conditions in contracts.

* Anticipate problems and ensure all necessary commercial legal key terms and language are included in every inbound contract to appropriately mitigate risk for New Relic. Resolve contract issues efficiently to move contracts forward to execution.

* Manage an extensive inbound contracts management database.

* Support implementation of technology solutions to improve the contract administration process.

About You: (Skills+ Experience)

* Experienced in redlining, drafting and negotiating contracts with strong working knowledge of commercial legal principles and terms.

* Understand B2B contracts process and able to work on diverse contractual issues simultaneously from inception to completion.

* Ability to review contracts quickly with extreme accuracy.

* Demonstrated business acumen and solutions focused, focused on simplicity and efficient resolution when solving for complex issues.

* Excel at multitasking deals in various phases while staying highly aligned with multiple stakeholders.

* Thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

* Excellent, clear, concise and timely communication skills (both verbal and written).

* Self-directed/driven with excellent organizational skills.

* Experience with MS Office required, experience with Contracts Management/workflow tools preferred.

* Knowledge of Data Security and Data Privacy terms is a plus.

* 3-5 years demonstrated experience in the particular focus of contracts management, paralegal and/or commercial transactions; Technology company and In-house experience preferred.

* Bachelor's Degree is required.
