Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for prospecting, reaching out, and onboarding new clients
  • Build and manage relationships with potential and future customers pipeline
  • Maintain existing customer accounts
  • Plan and execute business development events (e.g. speaking engagements, webinars, conferences)
  • Conduct and coordinate clients meetings with the CEO, lawyers, and patent engineers
  • Provide feedback to the executive, engineering, and data team to help improve the product
  • Demonstrate high-level energy and professionalism representing the company
  • Provide outstanding customer service by educating customers about the service/product and resolving problems
  • Assess our sales process and continuously question the current way we work, and think big about how we can improve it
  • Responsible for being the single point of contact for each client
  • This is an individual contributor role

Key Result Areas:

  • Win new client accounts
  • Maintain relationship with current clients to ensure repeat business
  • Develop and implement a sales process for the company
  • Conduct an effective outreach/marketing campaign to get name recognition

Qualifications:

  • Hungry to work in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial business environment
  • Have a proven track record of success in their past roles and experiences
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work with little supervision
  • Bachelor's degree in business, economics, law, management or related field(s)
  • 3-5 years of experience for a manager and 5-8+ years for a director in a client facing role, preferably sales
  • Experience at a leading investment bank, consulting firm, law firm, or tech company

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previously worked in sales of software or legal services to legal departments and in-house counsels of corporations (e.g., IP departments or IP in-house counsels)
  • Startup experience
  • Advance Degree (e.g., MBA, JD, etc)

Compensation:

  • Salary: $90k-175k depending on experience
  • Equity: 0.05-0.25%
  • Structured performance-based bonus
